In the case of the Mesa and McCarty Road corridor of East Houston, we aim to create a sustainable green space that benefits the community both ecologically and socially through the Living Bridge Project. Our proposal includes a living wall, a ground cover area, and a food forest, all utilizing native plants that require minimal maintenance. We also plan to implement a ground cover area that functions as a catchment for runoff water and filters pollutants. By taking into account the theory of intention versus impact, we hope to create a project that not only intends to benefit the community but also has a positive impact on the area.
